June 18, 2020

Country gospel singer Debbie Cochran is nominated by the Josie Music Awards for Music Video of the Year for "Lord Did I Miss The Rapture", Vocalist of the Year (Christian/Gospel), and Song of the Year (Christian/Gospel) for "In a Heartbeat".

The Josie Music Awards are known for recognizing independent artists, songwriters, record labels, talent agencies, promotion companies, producers, engineers, management companies, press, music industry businesses, and more. Nominee suggestions must go through a lengthy review process conducted by a team of industry leaders to even be considered for the official list of nominations. Cochran was chosen out of 30,000 submissions.

"I am so excited and very humbled to be nominated for the 2020 Josie Music Awards," Debbie said. "It’s the largest independent industry award show so it's truly an honor. Thank you to the Josie team and congratulations to all the nominees."

The Josie Music Awards was created to celebrate those in the independent music industry that work so hard every day and deserve to have a night of their own. Past Josie Music Awards have been held at Nissan Stadium, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Gaylord Opryland Resort. The 6th Annual Josey Awards will be held inside the Celebrity Theater in The Dollywood Theme Park on Saturday, September 5, 2020.

Debbie's current single "Born Again Wildflower" features the legendary Dolly Parton. The song provides a message of hope during trying times. Fans can stream the single on all major platforms.
