Debbie Cochran Kicks off National Volunteer Week By Participating in the Doing Good Campaign
April 1, 2015
Classic country artist Debbie Cochran is one of eight musicians representing the Nashville music industry who are supporting local volunteerism and receiving global visibility by teaming up with Doing Good, a local nonprofit organization that celebrates youths and adults who make a difference in their communities.
At Doing Good, we think it's important to be proud of what makes you and your community unique. That is why we want to showcase musicians who have not only supported this community but also lives, works and/or records in Tennessee," says Megan McInnis, Founder and Executive Director of Doing Good.
Throughout the month of April (April 1 – April 30, 2015), Doing Good is holding a new crowd funding campaign on www.Indiegogo.com, featuring one emerging artist per genre with eight genres being represented. The songs they have chosen from Debbie Cochran include her debut release It's Never Too Late along with her latest release to radio Everything Changes.
For a minimum of $50 or more, donors will receive original songs from these artists below. "The campaign allows for people to play a role in what they view on national television. This campaign will fund the television show's sizzle reel – the key to selling the show," says McInnis. "This show will be like an updated version of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – a friendly, enjoyable show for multiple generations celebrating local volunteers and the impact they have."
